Student Insurance  Westwind School Division has a basic insurance policy from IA Pacific Insurance: Policy Number 012022070. Westwind has the School Premises Coverage, which covers your child during school hours. If you want extra insurance after school hour, please click here for the form from the insurer.

Alberta School Councils Alberta School Councils Website is the provincial organization representing parents' voice in public education. The website has an online community where parents can register to discuss, share, and network with other parents across the province through the Discussion Forum and Community blog.

This website contains curricular and other resources for Alberta students, teachers, and parents for useat home and school. One of the many useful resources here is the Online Reference Centre which has linksto a variety of encyclopedias and other useful resources.

The 2Learn website contains a vast wealth of online resources for Alberta students and parents of all ages. These resources have been selected by Alberta teachers and librarians. [2Learn is funded by Alberta Education, the Alberta Teachers' Association (ATA), the College of Alberta School Superintendents (CASS), the University of Alberta Education Faculty, as well as corporate donors. The staff of 2Learn are Alberta teachers working for Alberta teachers, students and parents. The main site has too many sections to list here, but some of the main ones are listed below.]
ABC@2Learn This section of 2Learn is geared for Kindergarten students and is in a kid-friendly format.
Ready2Learn This section of 2Learn is for students in Grades 1 and 2. It contains resources for each subject area as well as SMART Board resources for teachers.
Kidslove2Learn This section of 2Learn is for students in Grades 3-6. It contains resources for each subject area as well as SMART Board resources for teachers and "Privacy Pirates"–an interactive unit dealing with Privacy on the Internet.
2LearnforTeens This section of 2Learn is geared to students in junior high with a multitude of resources in each subject, SMART Board lessons, and many reference and online safety resources.
2LearnforHS Resources hear are arranged in subject areas for senior high students. This section also contains many online tools, SMART Board and Internet safety resources.
2Learnforparents This section of 2Learn contains many helpful resources for parents.
Spirit of Alberta This site contains a wealth of curricular information about Alberta for students, teachers, and parents, including many fun activities to learn about our beautiful province.
Image Gallery The Image Gallery contains photos submitted by students and teachers from all areas of Alberta. Use of these images is permitted for curricular and non-profit use as long as credit is given to the 2Learn Image Gallery. Users may contribute their own images as well.

*Discovery Education Though Discovery is an American site, it contains many great resources for Administrators, Teachers, Students, and Parents.
*Learn360 This is a Canadian resource containing video clips and teacher resources across all grades and subject areas.
*Media Awareness Network The resources contained here have been licensed by Alberta Education to help you become better informed about Internet safety and how to become responsible and informed consumers of digital media.
*Teaching Books TeachingBooks.net is an online collection of multimedia K-12 book and author resources. Information is here on how authors and illustrators write and illustrate their books, as well as links to author Web sites and audio book readings. Access to Teaching Books is found in the Online Reference Centre on the LearnAlberta site.
