2009-2010 Mission: Facilitating and supporting collaboration
This year our PD committee is excited to focus its efforts on facilitating and supporting collaboration. Part of this effort involves creating and supporting initiatives that promote the sharing of resources and best practices between schools. This includes the Learning Support Network's (LSN) work funding, approving, and facilitating divisional PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) that span across more than one school).

PDC Committee:
Professional development initiatives can generally be categorized into three different areas.
- Division based PD
- School based PD
- Individually selected PD
Many projects span across more than one area. This year's initiatives can be sorted into five general domains of interest:
- Instructional leadership
- Capacity building
- Distributed learning
- Curriculum support
- Student influences
