Web Resources: For those resources below requiring usernames and passwords [marked with an asterisk (*)]: The 2011-2012 Westwind Web Resources Handbook, (containing logins/passwords), was emailed to all Westwind staff in September. Members of the Westwind community (Staff, Students, and Parents) may send an email request for a copy of this Handbook to bonny.west@westwind.ab.ca. The 2Learn website contains a vast wealth of online resources for Alberta students and parents of all ages. These resources have been selected by Alberta teachers and librarians. [2Learn is funded by Alberta Education, the Alberta Teachers' Association (ATA), the College of Alberta School Superintendents (CASS), the University of Alberta Education Faculty, as well as corporate donors. The staff of 2Learn are Alberta teachers working for Alberta teachers, students and parents. The main site has too many sections to list here, but some of the main ones are listed below.] |
| ABC@2Learn | This section of 2Learn is geared for Kindergarten students and is in a kid-friendly format. |
| Ready2Learn | This section of 2Learn is for students in Grades 1 and 2. It contains resources for each subject area as well as SMART Board resources for teachers. |
| Kidslove2Learn | This section of 2Learn is for students in Grades 3-6. It contains resources for each subject area as well as SMART Board resources for teachers and "Privacy Pirates"–an interactive unit dealing with Privacy on the Internet. |
| 2LearnforTeens | This section of 2Learn is geared to students in junior high with a multitude of resources in each subject, SMART Board lessons, and many reference and online safety resources. |
