This website contains many helpful resources for Alberta students to use at home and school. Check out the Online Reference Centre which has links to many encyclopedias, among others. 

  

 

2learn.ca

The 2Learn website contains a vast wealth of online resources for Alberta students and parents of all ages. The homepage of this site has many sections, with some of the main ones listed below.

 
  ABC@2Learn If you are helping Kindergarten students, this is the site to go to for a kid-friendly format.  
  Ready2Learn If you are working with students in Grades 1 and 2, click on the link at the left. It contains resources for each subject area as well as SMART Board resources for teachers.  
  Kidslove2Learn This section of 2Learn is for students in Grades 3-6. It contains resources for each subject area as well as SMART Board resources for teachers and "Privacy Pirates"–an interactive unit dealing with Privacy on the Internet.   
  2LearnforTeens This section of 2Learn is geared to students in junior high with a multitude of resources in each subject, SMART Board lessons, and many reference and online safety resources.  
  2LearnforHS Resources hear are arranged in subject areas for senior high students. This section also contains many online tools, SMART Board and Internet safety resources.  
  Spirit of Alberta This site contains a wealth of information about Alberta for students, teachers, and parents, including many fun activities to learn about our beautiful province.  
  Image Gallery The Image Gallery contains photos submitted by students and teachers from all areas of Alberta. Use these images in your assignments. Just remember to give credit to the 2Learn Image Gallery. You may also contribute your own images as well for others to use to showcase our own area here in Southern Alberta.  
    The following sites require logins. The each have some free information, but most of it requires a username and password. Please see the information above for access information.  
  Discovery Education* Though Discovery is an American site, it contains many great resources for students as well as administrators, teachers, and Parents.  
  Learn360* This is a Canadian resource containing video clips and student and teacher resources across all grades and subject areas.  
  Media Awareness Network* The resources contained here have been licensed by Alberta Education to help you become better informed about Internet safety and how to become responsible and informed consumers of digital media.  
  Teaching Books* TeachingBooks.net is an online collection of multimedia K-12 book and author resources. Find information here about how authors and illustrators write and illustrate their books. There are links to author Web sites and audio book readings, etc. Access to Teaching Books is found in the Online Reference Centre on the LearnAlberta site. Ask your teacher if you don't know to use this at home.
