CARDSTON JR HIGH SCHOOL (Comp. No. CJHS-05-2018-TCHR)

  • 1 Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Probationary Jr High School English Language Arts Teacher
  • 1 Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Temporary Jr High School English Language Arts Teacher
  • §  Successful candidates will have a Language Arts major or experience teaching LA
  • §  Successful candidates will have a sound understanding of screening & literacy assessments  
  • 1 Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Probationary Jr High School Math Teacher
  • §  Successful candidate will have a Math major, or experience teaching Math
  • §  Successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of adolescent numeracy differentiated instruction strategies in support of all learners

RAYMOND JR HIGH SCHOOL (Comp No. RJHS-05-2018-TCHR)

  • 1 Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Probationary Jr High School English Language Arts Teacher
  • 1 Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Temporary Jr High School English Language Arts Teacher
  • 1 Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Probationary Jr High Home Economics Teacher, & will likely also teach an option class

RAYMOND HIGH SCHOOL (Competition No. RHS-05-2018-TCHR)

1 Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Temporary High School English Language Arts Teacher to teach English 10 & 20, as well as 1 or 2 option classes

MAGRATH JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL (Comp. No. MHS-05-2018-TCHR)

  • 1 Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Probationary for Jr High School Language Arts Teacher
  •  1 Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Probationary Learning Support Teacher

These positions will hire applicants with the following qualities:

  • Creating positive student, staff, parents, and community relationships with all school stakeholders at all times.
  • Being involved and engaged in all elements of our school and their student programs.
  • Excellence in understanding and teaching literacy and numeracy.
  • Having a deep and solid understanding of student assessment, inclusion, and differentiation.
  • Continually demonstrating teacher professionalism and being a life-long learner.
  • Commanding a solid understanding of mastery teaching and student intervention strategies.
  • Participating and being positively involved in onsite and divisional collaboration opportunities.
  • Being comfortable using technology as a tool to improve/intervene with student learning.  
  • Success candidates will have a sound understanding of formative & summative assessment practices
  • Successful candidates must hold a valid Alberta Teacher Teaching Certificate.

The successful candidates will be required to provide a criminal record check and child welfare check before employment begins.
