LOCAL JURISDICTION: Westwind School Division No.74, Province of Alberta. Notice is hereby given that an election will be held for the filling of the following offices:

  • Electoral Ward 1, School Board Trustee, 1 vacancy
  • Electoral Ward 2, School Board Trustee, 2 vacancies
  • Electoral Ward 3, School Board Trustee, 1 vacancy
  • Electoral Ward 4, School Board Trustee, 1 vacancy
  • Electoral Ward 5, School Board Trustee, 2 vacancies
  • Electoral Ward 6, School Board Trustee, 1 vacancy

Dates and Locations of Advance Votes

  • October 11, 2017, 4:00 pm-8:00 pm, Cardston Civic Centre at 67 3rd Ave West for Electoral Wards 1 and 2.
  • October 11, 2017, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Cardston County Office at 1050 Main Street for Electoral Wards 1 and 2.
  • October 11, 2017, 10:00 am-8:00 pm, Magrath Town Office at 55 South 1st Street West for Electoral Wards 3 and 4.
  • October 7, 2017, 4:00 pm-8:00 pm, Raymond Town Hall at 15 Broadway South for Electoral Ward 5.
  • October 2, 2017, 9:00 am-2:00 pm, Stirling Village Office at 229 4th Avenue for Electoral Ward 6.

Election Day

Voting will take place on the 16th day of October 2017, between the hours of 10:00 am and 8:00 pm. Voting stations will be located at:

  • Glenwood Community Centre for Electoral Ward 1
  • Hill Spring Village Office for Electoral Ward 1
  • Mountain View Senior Centre for Electoral Ward 1
  • Cardston County Office for Electoral Wards 1 and 2
  • Cardston Civic Centre for Electoral Ward 2
  • Magrath Senior Centre for Electoral Wards 3 and 4
  • Raymond Senior Centre for Electoral Ward 5
  • Stirling Community Centre for Electoral Ward 6

Requirements for Voter Identification

In order to vote, you must produce identification for inspection.  The identification must be one or more of:

  • One piece of identification issued by a Canadian government, whether federal, provincial or local, or an agency of that government, that contains a photograph of the elector and his or her name and current address, or
  • One piece of identification authorized by the Chief Electoral Officer under the Election Act for the purposes of Section 95(1)(a)(ii) of that Act that establishes the elector's name and current address.
