Kindergarten

About

Kindergarten is one of the most exciting times in a child’s life, and programs are available to all children. Ensuring each child makes a successful transition from home to school is a goal for parents and teachers. The purpose of Kindergarten is to provide learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate to meet the diverse needs of children and promote a positive attitude towards lifelong learning.

Registration Requirements

Children must be at least 4.8 years of age on September 1 of the current school year to be eligible for kindergarten programming (turn five years old before December 31 of the current school year)

*Please only register your child with the group you intend them to move with through grade 12. It is inappropriate to register a child in Kindergarten with a preconceived plan to repeat for a second year. We ask that any parents who are considering this instead register their child for the Early Learning Program or to wait before registering for Kindergarten.
