Project: Fodder Farm
Mr. Jared Leavitt - Magrath High School
Goal: To produce fodder in the classroom to feed the student's animals at home while also learning more about the plant growth cycle.
Description: They have developed a fodder system sprouting barley seeds into large amounts of feed for various animals such as chickens that students have on their own farms. Students have been able to learn about this upcoming technique and apply it within the classroom. Students are able to watch the growing cycle happen and understand the cost analysis of producing food for animals this way. This project has been a great success
