Recent updates on existing Board Policies and Administrative Procedures are below.
Addition of sections 1 & 2 to reflect Ministerial Notice: School Transportation Amendment Regulation, December 16, 2024.
The Board will provide transportation for students as follows:
Current (in effect until August 31, 2025): Students who reside 2.4 km or further from their designated school.
Effective September 1, 2025: Students who reside 1.6 km or further (Grades ECS–6) or 2.0 km or further (Grades 7–12) from their designated school, in accordance with the Ministerial notice.
2. The Board may provide transportation for the following students, subject to availability and Board discretion:
Current (in effect until August 31, 2025): Students who reside less than 2.4 km from their designated school, or students choosing to attend a school other than their designated school.
Effective September 1, 2025: Students who reside less than 1.6 km (Grades ECS–6) or less than 2.0 km (Grades 7–12) from their designated school, or students choosing to attend a school other than their designated school.
11. If a trustee is disqualified under section 87 or 88 of the Education Act from remaining as a trustee of the Board and does not resign as required under section 90, the Board may by resolution declare the trustee to be disqualified from remaining a trustee or the Board may apply for originating notice to the Court of Queen’s Bench for an Order: 11.1 Determining whether the trustee is qualified to remain as a trustee, or 11.2 Declaring the trustee to be disqualified from remaining as a trustee
September 5, 2019
At the September 5, 2019 Board Meeting, trustees approved the following policy amendment:
8. Arrange for educational services on Hutteritarian Brethren colonies, as requested, in facilities to be provided by the colony, for an annual rental fee
4.7 The Board will hold special meetings provided that petitions are received signed by at least ten (10) electors who indicate they will attend a meeting on any weekday at a date, time and place designated in the petition. The petition must be submitted to the Superintendent or designate at least three (3) weeks prior to the date on which such a meeting is required. An acceptable alternative to a petition is the receipt of at least ten (10) individually signed letters from electors indicating the same information required of the petition described above.

4.7 The Board will hold special meetings provided that petitions are received signed by at least forty (40) electors who indicate they will attend a meeting. A special meeting must be held within thirty (30) days of the receipt of this petition submitted to the Superintendent or designate, at a location to be determined by the Board. An acceptable alternative to a petition is the receipt of at least forty (40) individually signed letters from electors indicating the same information required of the petition described above.
September 5, 2018
At the September 5, 2018 Board Meeting, trustees approved the following policy amendment:
A motion was passed by the Board to amend section 4 of Policy 8 regarding committee membership for the Student Engagement Committee. Previously, this committee included junior high and high school students, however with the approved change this committee will only include high school students from across the Division.
