Bullying Awareness Week + Virtual Event

This November 20-24, Westwind School Division is marking the start of Bullying Awareness & Prevention Week, which focuses on promoting awareness and understanding of bullying and its impacts. This year's theme is #WhereToTurn. Do you know where to turn when dealing with bullying? Do the people you care about know?

The Bullying Helpline (1-888-456-2323) is available 24/7 in over 170 languages. There are countless other support available, many of which are listed HERE.

Please also Mark your calendars for a special event: the Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week Virtual Speaker Series on Friday, November 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

This virtual event will feature speakers Teddy Manywounds and Sheldon Kennedy, who will share their unique stories and experiences with bullying behaviours. The speaker series will be followed by a live question and answer period – so come prepared with your questions.

Registration information for the live event can be found here. For those who cannot tune in live, a recording will be posted at following the live event.

We encourage all members of #TeamWestwind to work together to prevent bullying, promote healthy relationships, and support those impacted by bullying behaviours. For information on promoting healthy relationships in schools, please visit
