Administrative Procedure 331: PART-TIME HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Background
Division students eligible to attend school are to take a full-time program. If circumstances prevail making it impossible or unnecessary to take a full-time program, the following procedures shall be used to excuse them from full-day attendance.
Procedures
- Only high school students, primarily grade twelve (12) students are to be considered for part-time status.
- Generally, a student with part-time status is to show reasonable evidence of a program leading to graduation in all registered subjects.
- The Principal shall have the authority to excuse a high school student from a full-time program; however, part-time status is a privilege and if the student abuses this privilege for any reason, the Principal may revoke the permission.
