The position will commence at the beginning of the 2025/2026 school year and conclude on the earlier of June 30, 2026, or the teacher being replaced.

The successful candidate will:
- Teach Grade 3.
- Have a solid understanding of the learning dynamics of younger students, coupled with the creativity to design lessons that ignite a child’s curiosity and foster exploration, discovery, and personal growth.
- Exhibit strong classroom management skills.
- Thrive in and contribute to a collaborative school culture.
- Demonstrate flexibility and an ability to build and nurture positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and our community.
- Possesses strong assessment skills with proficiency in providing constructive feedback and understanding of outcome-based reporting.
- Have a strong knowledge and experience with literacy and numeracy instruction, assessment, and intervention.
- Understand how to help students develop social and emotional competencies.
Additional desirable skills and experiences include:
- Proven knowledge and experience working with First Nations, Metis, and Inuit learners.
- Proficiency in assessment for learning strategies to track and improve student progress.
- An understanding of trauma-informed practice and experience working with students who have encountered trauma.
Qualifications and Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A strong understanding of and the ability to demonstrate the Alberta Education Teaching Quality Standard.
- A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- Willingness to provide a current vulnerable sector check before employment begins.
