The Division wants to ensure fiscal responsibility and therefore, staff holidays for non-school based employees, are to be used by August 31 each year.
- Division staff shall only be allowed to carry-over a total of five (5) days’ vacation after August 31 of any year. Those five (5) days will then have to be used prior to December 31 of that same year.
- In June, a report will be printed to evaluate the number of days per employee and anyone not in compliance will provide to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources their expected vacation dates. These dates will be booked and counted as vacation time.
- In certain circumstances, an employee may be directed, by the Superintendent, to access vacation entitlements.
