Appendix: Student Dress

Background

Students are to be encouraged to dress and groom themselves in a clean and tidy manner which is appropriate to the community in which the school is located.

Procedures

  1. Extremes in dress and grooming are to be avoided.

  2. A dress code is not to impose a financial hardship on any student.

  3. It is the responsibility of the Principal and the school council to determine a more precise statement of acceptable dress and grooming for their school.

  4. A Principal may send a student who is in violation of the dress code home to change into appropriate attire.
